Terms & Conditions
Booking
We require a
non-refundable deposit of 20% of the total rent to confirm a booking, with
the balance payable six weeks prior to arrival. If the booking is made less
than six weeks before the arrival date, then the whole rent is payable at
the time of booking. Once we have received your deposit, we will send you
written confirmation. The contract for your short term holiday rental begins
once we have issued your confirmation letter. Cheques to be made payable to
N Richardson. Rentals start at 3 p.m. on the day of arrival and finish by 10
a.m. on the day of departure unless alternative arrangements have been
agreed.
Charges
Rent for the
cottage includes electricity, full oil central heating, bed linen and towels. A highchair & stair gate
is provided, subject to availability, free of charge.
Cancellation
If you have to
cancel your booking for whatever reason we will endeavour to re-let the
cottage for the whole period of the booking. If we are able to re-let the
cottage for the whole period, we will refund all monies less the
non-refundable 20% deposit. Should we be unable to re-let the cottage, then
all monies paid shall be retained by us. It is strongly recommended that you
take out cancellation insurance. Bookings are non-transferable.
If we should
need to cancel your booking due to circumstances beyond our control, we will
endeavour to offer suitable alternative accommodation; should this not be
possible we will refund all monies paid to us in full.
Restrictions
We regret that
we do not accept pets. Hill Top is non-smoking. The number of persons
occupying the cottage must not exceed ten people (adults and children)
unless agreed by us. We reserve the right to refuse entry to the entire
party if this condition is not observed.
Care of
property
We request that
you take all reasonable and proper care of Hill Top, its furniture, fittings
and effects and leave them in the same state of repair and in the same clean
and tidy condition at the end of the rental period as at the beginning. We
reserve the right to enter Hill Top at all reasonable times for purposes of
inspection or to carry out any necessary repairs or maintenance. Guests are
legally bound to reimburse us for replacement, repair or extra cleaning
costs on demand.
Safety
All guests and
their visitors must ensure that they take all reasonable steps to ensure
their own safety and that of others whilst at Hill Top. We cannot accept
responsibility for any injury or loss caused whilst in or around the
property.
Problems
If for any
reason you should incur a problem during your stay at Hill Top, please bring
the matter to our attention as soon as is reasonably possible in order that
we can rectify the situation.
